In September 2018 the Foundation of St Matthias would like to make available further scholarships of up to £10,000 per year for a maximum of three years. The scholarships are intended to provide additional funding for those who need it most, assisting individuals in accessing the education, skills and knowledge required to fulfil their vocation. We are looking for exciting and imaginative proposals to support which go beyond the awards we provide regularly to those undertaking standard course of study.
The Trust is seeking to support individuals who will in turn become ambassadors for the Trust.
Applicants will need to demonstrate:
-Enthusiasm for studying and pursuing a vocation within the tenets of the Trust;
-Commitment to making a significant contribution to religious life through the medium of the Church of England or of a Church in communion therewith;
-Good communication skills in order to fulfil the ambassadorial role;
-High quality academic record and grades awarded to date;
-Proven circumstances and need for financial support.
Applications must be made on the formal scholarship form obtainable from the Clerk to the Trustees. Two confidential references will be sought to support the application.
Submission deadline: Friday 19th January 2018
A small group of Trustees will consider all the applications for the scholarships and then shortlist. Shortlisted applicants will be called for interview.
