-have a well thought out area for research or a developed plan for a project;
-have identified a suitable qualified supervisor for your work;
-can identify how your study / project will contribute to the work of the Church of England.
Deadline to apply: Applications must reach the Clerk by 5th FEBRUARY 2023 AT THE LATEST.

If so the St Matthias Trust might be able to help.
We have up to £10,000 per year available to support a scholar.
The money is available for between 1 and 3 years.
In order to qualify for a scholarship we ask that you:
-have a well thought out area for research or a developed plan for a project;
-have identified a suitably qualified supervisor for your work;
-can identify how your study / project will contribute to the work of the Church of England.
Applicants will need to demonstrate:
-Enthusiasm for studying and pursuing a vocation within the tenets of the Trust;
-Commitment to making a significant contribution to religious life through the medium of the Church of England or of a Church in communion therewith;
-Good communication skills in order to disseminate/publish the progress of your research/project and to fulfil the ambassadorial role;
-High quality academic record and grades awarded to date;
-Proven circumstances and need for financial support.
Whilst usually hardcopy applications have to be received, this year electronic applications are also accepted. Please follow the important guidelines below if you wish to send an electronic application:
- Electronic applications can only be accepted if submitted in one legible document and include all the questions/pages on the application form (Word or PDF document);
- An electronic signature or at least full name of the applicant must be entered in the “signature field” to ensure that consent is given for processing.
